Here’s a holiday drink to keep you warm during the winter months and even after the holiday season is over.

This recipe couldn’t be any easier. Best served hot or warm, you can relax and enjoy a nice evening inside, instead of going out this New Years Eve. You can share this cozy drink between two to four people and you can certainly use your favorite choice of wine or any affordable one, it doesn’t need to be on the pricey side.

You will need just a few ingredients, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, red wine, brandy and honey.

In a medium heavy bottom pan or sauce pan, combine all the ingredients together. Bring heat up to medium and bring the mixture to a simmer, NOT a boil! Please please please do not overheat or else you’ll end up with a spicy, syrupy taste, just ickkky. Set your timer and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

To serve, use a ladle to scoop the mulled wine into a mug or glass. Heck, if you have a few glass mugs, even better! They’re lovely because you can see the rich color of the mulled wine. Garnish with an orange slice around the rim and enjoy. I told you, it couldn’t be any easier. Have a Happy New Year everyone, thank you for visiting Workshops Essayer!
